Donate to PATA
Funds collected will help support PATA's spay/neuter clinics

Why Donate?
Your donation will be used to support animal welfare projects in Manzanillo.
The first step in reducing animal suffering is to reduce the number of unwanted animals. Through free sterilizations, PATA has positively impacted the numbers of street animals. We still have a long way to go.
With monetary support, we hope to be able to continue to buy supplies and equipment to support the sterilization clinics. It costs us nearly $250 pesos to spay or neuter just one animal. With donations, we are able to buy
- medical supplies such as anesthesia, pain medication, antiseptics, sutures, hypodermics, and needles;
- miscellaneous clinic supplies such as alcohol, peroxide, intraveneous solution and bleach; and
- administrative supplies such as pens, paper, poster board and tape.
In addition to reducing the numbers of unwanted animals, two other programs receive the benefit of donor support: the rescue, treatment and sheltering of abused or homeless animals; and PATA's education projects.
Thanks to the contributions of our donors, we can continue to protect dogs, cats, and other animals in Manzanillo, as well as improve the living conditions for the human members of our community, as well.
PATA Wish List
- 4X4 Gauze Pads, non-sterile, packs of 200
- used in surgery to absorb blood. Light and easy to pack in a suitcase, gauze is very expensive locally and always a welcome donation (to be repackaged and sterilized).
- IV catheters with leurlock caps
- Sterile; size #20-24 with a 1" needle; IV catheter needles, sleeves and leurlock adapter ports/caps; used in surgery so that additional meds or IV fluids can be administered, if needed.
- X-Large Dog Crates
- to keep our larger patients (Rotweiler and Great Dane) safe during clinics. Shipping crates approximately 48" X 32" X 35" with sturdy bottoms work best for moving large animals around the clinic, but any size cage or crate is acceptable.
- General Clinic Supplies
- Bleach, dish soap, rubber gloves (all sizes), sterile surgery gloves (all sizes), hydrogen peroxide (aqua oxigenada), alcohol, masking tape, markers and pens, white-board markers, plastic zip-lock baggies (large 26cm X 27cm), acetone, tapetes (mats), cat and dog food (dry and canned), and bottled water/drinks.
- General Clinic Services
- Food delivered for clinic workers, sheets and towels laundered, cages cleaned/disinfected, equipment hauled, animals trapped, flyers distributed, and transportation for volunteers/patients.
Bring Supplies -- Shop for PATA
Traveling back and forth, or have friends who are? If you could bring useful items for our spay/neuter clinics, or for fostered, abandoned or abused animals, PATA would really appreciate your help.
Try asking around, neighbors, friends, family, your local vet office and even your local pet store, to see if anyone will donate lightly-used items. Spread the word and see if you can bring some of the items on our wish list with you, or sponsor the purchase of a specific item.
Crossing the border? PATA will furnish you with a bilingual letter explaining the use of donated items for you to present at the US/Mexico border.

Donate Cash, Materials or Supplies

PATA Store
Kind donors have donated many items to use in our clinics such as surgical and general clinic supplies. PATA also accepts donations of non-clinic items specifically for resale. Those are the items you'll see for sale in the PATA On-Line Store.
Because of our unsophisticated payment and delivery techniques, the online store is also rather simplistic. It consists of a form filled out and sent from the website that we will manually respond to with collection/delivery information.

US and Canadian Tax-Deductible Donations
There's a way to make tax deductible donations to PATA. Friends of PATA Manzanillo was established especially for both US and Canadian tax payers to receive tax deductions for their donations. The Friends website explains how.
